The garden of your mind

Do you agree with me that mind is similar to a garden? You can choose what kind of seed to sow in order to get a desired harvest. We cultivate the garden of our mind by getting rid of negative thinking resulting in weeds and replenishing the ground with on purpose, positive thinking, which yields good fruit. Constantly watering our mind with healthy ideas, constructive imagination and regular doses of enthusiasm will make room for creativity to emerge in all its beauty and bountifulness. This is not a random activity but an act of will. As stated by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, we can change our world by changing our thoughts. So I find chess a very useful tool in training our minds to focus on the chosen thoughts inasmuch as it promotes the discipline of thinking. We can choose the variations we are to calculate and we involve logic in the process. Chess teaches us not to get distracted from our goals and to pursue our dreams all the way to the end. We alone are the gardeners of our mind therefore we should keep watch over what we allow to take root inside. I myself would like my mind to look like the perfect Garden of Eden which houses the most wanted Tree of Life. Imagine what kind of fruit that will bring! It definitely sounds like living as a king! So dear reader, here is the thing: do you find it quite inspiring?! :)
